Kecak Fire Dance, Bali
"Tourists gather at the sea-facing Uluwatu Temple to witness the Kecak dance, a Balinese rendition of the Ramayana, driven by dominant use of human vocals in lieu of musical instruments. Subhabrata Biswas (@subhabrata.biswas) photographed the performers mid act in an amphitheater with a setting sun in the background."

Bridge of Sighs , Venice..
"The Ponte dei Sospiri or #BridgeOfSighs in #Veniceconnected the famous Doge's palace with the Prigioni Nuove, the prisons that were built across the canal in the late 16th century. It is said that the view from the bridge offered the prisoners a final view of the city, before they crossed over to their cells in the Prigioni. Shubhabrata Biswas (@subhabrata.biswas), waited a long time to get a well-rounded shot of one of the most famous bridges in the world. "

Florence Cathedral..
"When we think of #Florence, the first thing that comes to mind is the rich repository of #Rennaissance art and architecture and the great artists and sculptors behind them. One of the greatest specimens from this period is the famous dome, the brainchild of #FilippoBrunelleschi that sits atop the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore or #FlorenceCathedral. Subhabrata Biswas' (@subhabrata.biswas) photo of it is our #DailyShot entry for today.

"I took this photograph on a visit to Florence. The weather was cloudy, but I decided to make the most of it, by capturing this stunning city. When I arrived at Giotto’s Campanile, which is 278 ft tall and set against the backdrop of a clear sky, I knew it would make for a great photo. The bell tower is one of the four principal monuments on the Piazza del Duomo, located adjacent to the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistry of St. John. It is the most impressive example of 14th-century Gothic architecture in Florence. One can climb up the tower via a long spiral staircase of 414 steps and enjoy an aerial view over Florence.", says our reader Subhabrata Biswas

One of the most historic and certainly most ancient of Mumbai's structures is St Thomas Cathedral, near Horniman Circle. Its construction started in the mid 1600s, but it was finally completed in 1718. The classic design of interiors is one of the best examples of British-era architecture and a hidden gem of Mumbai..
